COVID-19 STATEMENT & PROTOCOL HEADER.png

To Our Valued Customers,

At Blue Danube, the health and safety of our customers, employees and community is our top priority. With continued concerns regarding the COVID- 19 pandemic, we want to provide you with an update on our response.

Some of the preventative measures we have put in place include the following:

  • We have had our protocols and procedures reviewed, and our facility inspected, by a Provincial Inspector from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA)

  • In accordance with the Public Health Agency of Canada’s recommendations, all employees exhibiting flu-like symptoms are asked to stay home, or if symptoms develop at work, are sent home immediately. All employees exhibiting these symptoms will be asked to seek medical attention if symptoms do not resolve within 48 hours

  • All visitors who are not essential to the operation of our business will not be allowed to enter our facility

  • All meat deliveries will be completely contactless between us and our meat suppliers

  • Sanitation stations have been placed around our facility with signs asking everyone to sanitize their hands

  • We have put physical distancing measures in place and are limiting the number of people allowed into our retail store to 5

  • We now have pre-ordering options for pick-up and home delivery, as well as our online store.

Blue Danube is dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality smoked sausages and meats, salamis, and other homemade Hungarian goods. Our products are made in our state-of-the-art factory where stringent sanitation procedures and comprehensive food quality control & safety management systems are practiced, using fresh high-quality meat from local Ontario farms. It is important to note that scientists and food safety authorities around the world are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and there is no evidence to suggest that food is a source or route of transmission of the virus, so you should rest assured that your food is safe. For further information, please visit the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s website.

We continue to monitor local government and World Health Organisation (WHO) advice, and to evaluate and adjust our policies and procedures to address the constantly changing situation.
